The canadian singer/songwriter has achieved a lot at just the age of 19 years old. Alessia is making a name by herself without making any polemic in the industry and just defending herself with her writer ability and signing skills. Under the iconic label Def Jam (Same label as Kanye West, Frank Ocean, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, to name a few.) Alessia is been in the tops of the charts with her debut album “Know it all” and mostly with her song “Here”. Her anti-party anthem “Here” is scaling Billboard’s R&B chart scored her a TV debut on Jimmy Fallon’s show in July of 2015.
Alessia mentioned in a her latest Billboard interview that “Here” is unapologetically autobiographical: “‘Here’ is a true story,” Alessia confesses. “It’s a party song, but really it’s the complete opposite of a party song. It’s absolutely me; it shouts out the person in the corner of the party, looking around uncomfortably. I feel like this song narrates what the wallflower is thinking.”
Even if “here” is such a Hit song the album itself is a Hit. You’ll find love songs like “I'm yours” or “Overdose”, or motivational songs that teenagers can feel identify like “Seventeen” and “Four pink walls”.
The girl who started singing covers in Youtube is now a popstar and someone we can only expect good and great things. We can be sure that Alessia has a bigger future coming up for her, and you must be there to see it.
